Lumina offers such a distinctive coastal setting—how did the vision for the wedding experience come together, and what atmosphere do you aim to create for couples?

Our love language is creating an immersive experience for every wedding. As an oceanfront resort, we lean into full wedding weekends — though we’re happy to host single-day events as well — in an atmosphere where everything feels both elevated and relaxed. We’ve cultivated a refined coastal chic balanced with a laid-back beachy vibe, allowing couples to host all the celebrations around their special day in one beautiful destination. We take full advantage of our location, using the ocean as a built-in backdrop for a variety of event spaces. Interior décor complements the natural surroundings, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor areas so every moment feels connected to the beach.

In addition to spaces for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, cocktail hours, receptions, after-parties, and farewell breakfasts — plus the wedding ceremony itself — Lumina offers gracious accommodations for guests. With 184 rooms and suites, a host of amenities, multiple pools, and direct beach access, this is a place where the bride, groom, family, and friends can all stay and celebrate together.

There’s Turtlewatch, with floor-to-ceiling ocean views and an adjoining open-air Sunrise Terrace. host intimate gatherings in the waterfront Solstice Private Dining Room. If you want to party big, we have a ballroom, too. All of Lumina’s spaces are designed for natural flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. How does your team help couples bring their vision to life while ensuring a seamless guest experience?

Our catering and events team is passionate about love stories. Every Lumina wedding is fully customized, with hands-on, personalized attention from the first planning meeting through the final send-off. We work closely with couples to understand their vision, then guide them through layout design, menu selection, vendor coordination, and all the many details that ensure smooth event flow. We also manage room blocks for wedding guests. Thanks to our onsite catering and trusted partnerships with top local vendors — florists, musicians, photographers, and more — we streamline communications and logistics. Our team handles timelines, deliveries, and behind-the-scenes details so the couple and their guests can simply relax and celebrate.


What types of weddings or styles do you find work particularly well at Lumina?

With its coastal aesthetic that balances relaxed and refined, Lumina is especially well-suited for destination weddings. Our interior décor is intentionally designed to complement the oceanfront backdrop rather than compete with it. A neutral palette gives couples the freedom to personalize their day — whether they envision something elegant, light and airy, or boldly modern. We particularly love hosting fully customized wedding weekends that include welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, the main celebration, and farewell breakfasts in addition to the ceremony.

Choose a venue that naturally complements your vision so you can spend less time coordinating and more time enjoying the experience. We’re obviously partial to beachfront settings. Beyond the ceremony and reception spaces, it’s important to consider how your choice will support the overall guest experience.
