Her signature style is timeless, elegant, and cinematic, blending genuine emotion with refined imagery that feels as meaningful decades from now as it does on the wedding day itself. Known for the deep connections she builds with her couples, Rebecca believes the best photographs come from trust, authenticity, and celebrating the people behind the love story. Every wedding she captures is a deeply personal experience, creating heirloom images that honor not only the couple's journey but the generations of memories still to come.

Can you share the story behind your photography business and what drew you to capturing weddings?

I fell in love with film, fashion, and nature in my childhood. Surrounded by all realms of art, it was my destiny to pursue my passion for photography, as I always knew what I wanted to be. It’s not just about what you do, but who you are, and everything else flows from there. Noticing the details of life and love through museums, classic films, and the delicacy that beauty holds in every process of creating, I became drawn to the meaningful parts of a love story that prove life is worth not just living, but also feeling. I remember a specific moment when I was 5 years old visiting my grandparents in Loveland, Ohio. My parents would take us to the Cincinnati Art Museum, as we never missed the opportunity to graze through every part of that beautiful place that felt like a castle. I witnessed a wedding being held; the lovely couple was being photographed in the heart of the museum. It felt like a piece of Renaissance love, and paintings were coming to life through their real-life passion for each other. I was mesmerized by the artistry of her dress, the devotion to irreplaceable memories, and, most importantly, the connection to people. I grew up styling my friends and family for photographs and exploring various places and architecture as I traveled. I always seized the moment to capture the people I love most and places that feel like home. I started my photography business at 15 years old, which led me to capture surprise proposals, engagements, families, maternity, and eventually intimate weddings.

How would you describe your photography style, and what sets your work apart?

My love for photography unfolded by also embracing the behind-the-scenes and beautiful landscapes of the coast that most people overlook or are hidden gems. By merging those worlds, weddings have been a perfect way to experience all of those things at once. Weddings are true to the storytelling that I enjoy capturing but also witnessing. It’s an honor to be part of people’s special day and be trusted in the sacred journey of their memories. My style is timeless, elegant, cinematic, and true to your love story. I thrive in highly competitive environments and the demand for high-quality artistry that makes the most of other people’s time, needs, and memories they’ll cherish forever. Every wedding is unique and authentically expressed throughout the occasion and gallery of photographs. I believe it’s important to create a foundation before the wedding day with each couple, as it forms a personal connection and, most importantly, reveals if your wedding photographer will be the best fit for what you’re looking for. Honoring the newlyweds and their families is essential to my position as a wedding photographer, as my grandparents' old black-and-white wedding photographs have been the center of my inspiration. Reimagining them in color has helped me become an observer of expressions, movement, details, and the legacy every couple holds in harmony.

What’s one thing couples can expect when working with you?

My couples aren’t just "clients" to me; they become family as I care for the happiness they deserve to feel on their wedding day. Being not only a wedding photographer but also a mother has naturally come with nurturing the "firsts" of your special day and taking care of the moments that are authentic and meaningful to you and those you’ll share it with. I also walk through the entire process and schedule so you can be in the moment and not feel overwhelmed by the many details a wedding can bring. Working cohesively with your entire wedding team is important, as each role plays a key part in bringing your wedding day to life. I enjoy connecting with venues, makeup artists, videographers, bridal boutiques, florists, hair stylists, and more that each complement the completion of your wedding. Meeting new wedding vendors or keeping in touch with wedding vendors I have worked with in the past has been a great icebreaker to share with couples. When businesses refer each other for a wedding, it effortlessly comes together to become a memory in time for all those involved. These important details make the planning process fun, and they help me discover new things or reveal options that could become a lasting touch to your wedding day.

What are some of the most meaningful or memorable weddings you’ve captured, and what made them stand out?

Each wedding holds a special place in my heart and galleries. I look back on my carousel of wedding photographs often, as it was not "by chance." Each newlywed has trusted in me and welcomed me into their space of warmth and intention to bring their timeless moments to life. My first wedding was at 19 years old; I was so excited to finally step into the wedding world and see what it was all about. I knew it was going to continue into something special to me, but especially knowing it was all the more lovely to others, it became an attachment to weddings I could not let go of.

Fast forward to years later, my cousin needed a wedding photographer for her small, beautiful wedding at Greenfield Lake. I made sure she got the full experience, which honestly made it all the more emotional and special to see my own cousin blossom into a bride. Our family members who have passed on were for sure witnesses to her autumn wedding in early October as she got married in the same gazebo where I had my maternity photographs taken. Full-circle moments bring people together, even your own family.

Another wedding I will always remember was held on Topsail Beach on May 3, 2025. The lovely couple, Bill Smith and the late Michele Smith, had an intimate wedding overlooking the gorgeous crystal blue waters. Walking straight to the beach from their beach house was a sentimental pathway to their ceremony. In honor of their love, it is the closest thing to magic I have seen, and I believe it was meant to be as soon as I met them months before their wedding day. We cross paths with others for a reason, and their love lives on forever in my heart.

What advice would you give to couples when choosing the right wedding photographer?

Meeting your photographer ahead of your wedding date is a beautiful beginning to formulating a relationship with them. This helps you learn about each other, communicate clearly, and take a dive into your photographer's lens before booking. Your engagement photographer could very well be your wedding photographer too, especially if those moments in time help you see what your wedding style might be. Your wedding photographer will shower you with celebration in each passing moment, holding every part of it together with devotion and trust. A wedding photographer knows how to be an observer and a storyteller at the same time. We gather people together and walk away believing in love each time. You will know who is going to capture your big day when you notice your first impression of them; it should be a one-of-a-kind feeling in your heart.
