Can you tell us about your background and how-and why-you got into hair styling, particularly bridal work?

My passion for hair began long before it became my career. As a teenager, I spent countless hours in front of the mirror recreating styles inspired by red carpet events, fashion magazines, and the latest beauty trends. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into something more as friends and family began asking me to style their hair for weddings, proms, and other special occasions. Those early experiences sparked my love for helping people look and feel their best during life’s most memorable moments. After graduating with honors from Suffolk University, I pursued professional training at New England Hair Academy, where I received awards for both creativity and professionalism. From that point on, I knew I wanted to build a career in the industries that inspired me most bridal, fashion, and media. Today, I feel incredibly fortunate to combine artistry, technical skill, and a passion for beauty to help clients feel confident, radiant, and truly themselves.

What first drew you to wedding hair, and how did you develop your signature style?

What first drew me to wedding hair was the experience itself. There’s something incredibly special about the getting-ready morning of a wedding, the excitement, the anticipation, the happy chaos, and the meaningful moments shared between a bride and the people she loves most. Being trusted to play a role in such an important day is something I never take for granted, and it’s what continues to inspire me years into my career. As for my signature style, it has evolved through years of experience, education, and a genuine love for beauty and fashion. I’m constantly studying emerging trends and techniques, but I believe the most beautiful bridal hair strikes a balance between modern and timeless. My goal is always to create a look that feels current and elevated today, while still looking effortlessly beautiful in photographs for decades to come. That balance of fashion-forward yet enduring, polished yet natural has become the foundation of my work and the signature aesthetic I’d like to think I’m known for.

How do you approach creating a look that feels both timeless in photos and true to each bride's personality?

It all begins with connection and understanding. I take great pride in building genuine professional relationships with my brides and creating an experience that feels collaborative from the very first consultation. My role is not only to understand how she wants to look on her wedding day but how she wants to feel, whether that’s romantic, sophisticated, effortless, confident, or all of the above. Together, during our consultation, we bring her vision to life, refining every detail until the look feels authentically hers. My goal is always to create hair that stands the test of time.  Something she’ll love just as much thirty years from now as she does on her wedding day. Most importantly, when she walks down the aisle, I want her to feel completely like herself, confident and beautiful. To me, timelessness and authenticity should always go hand in hand.

What's your process for working with different hair types, textures, and inspiration photos on a wedding morning?

One of the things I love most about bridal hairstyling is that no two brides, or heads of hair, are ever the same. Every client brings her own unique texture, density, length, and vision, so my approach is always personalized to her individual needs. Inspiration photos are an important part of the process, but I view them as the starting point rather than the final destination. During the consultation and trial, we discuss what she’s drawn to in each image.  Whether it’s the softness, texture, volume, or overall feeling, I translate those elements into a style that works beautifully with her hair and features. My experience with a wide range of hair types allows me to adapt techniques, products, and, when needed, seamlessly blended clip-in extensions to achieve the desired look. The goal is never to copy a photo exactly. It’s to create a personalized version that feels authentic to the bride, complements her natural beauty, and brings her vision to life.

Can you briefly walk us through what a typical wedding day looks like for you?

I’m a traveling stylist, so my day starts before most guests even wake up. I come to YOU, whether that’s a grand coastal estate, a candlelit barn, or the bedroom you’ve been getting ready in your whole life. I arrive on-site with a fully stocked kit, a carefully crafted timeline, and a calm, intentional energy, because how a getting-ready suite feels sets the tone for the entire day. I work through each member of the bridal party with precision and care, styling the bride second-to-last so she has time to slip into her dress, breathe it all in, and address any final tweaks before the moment arrives. The very last touch? Veil attachment, when needed, is the final detail before she walks out the door and into her forever. Every curl, every pin, every finishing detail is placed with purpose. This isn’t just hair. It’s the first look of the rest of your life, and I don’t take that lightly.

What's one hair trend you're loving right now for brides, and one classic style that never goes out of fashion?

One of my favorite bridal hair trends right now is wearing hair down but pulled away from the face. It's truly the best of both worlds, you get to keep the romance and movement of wearing your hair down, while still achieving that lifted, 'snatched' effect around the face. I love how this look opens up the features, highlights the cheekbones, and keeps the hair off the face so it feels effortless and worry-free throughout the day. It also photographs beautifully, especially in natural light and close-up moments. My favorite classic-yet-current bridal hairstyle right now is the modern French twist. I love how it combines timeless elegance with an effortless, contemporary feel. The soft, undone texture keeps it from feeling overly structured, while still looking incredibly polished and sophisticated. It’s one of those rare styles that photographs beautifully from every angle, showcases the neckline and details of a wedding gown, and naturally enhances the face. There’s something about a modern French twist that feels both refined and romantic.  It’s a look that will be just as beautiful thirty years from now as it is today.
