Can you share the story behind your photography business and what drew you to capturing weddings?

My love for photography actually started in a coffee shop. During college, I worked as a barista at Social Coffee, and my boss and I were constantly taking photos of the drinks, the shop, and all of the employees. Eventually, he asked me to photograph his family, and those images became some of the very first photos I shared when I started my Instagram page. The rest is history. What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into something I realized I truly loved. More than anything, I love making people feel comfortable in front of the camera. My favorite part of photography is helping people feel confident, celebrated, and like the very best version of themselves. Weddings naturally became such a perfect fit because they are filled with so many meaningful moments — the anticipation before walking down the aisle, the happy chaos of getting ready, the people you love most all in one place, and the little details couples spend months dreaming up. It is such an honor to document a day that people will look back on for the rest of their lives.

How would you describe your photography style, and what sets your work apart?

I would describe my style as bright, warm, timeless, and true-to-you. I love photos that feel natural and full of life, but still polished and beautiful. My goal is always for my couples to look back and feel like the images actually feel like them — not overly posed or forced. I think what sets my work apart is the experience. I really care about making people feel comfortable in front of the camera, especially couples who say they are awkward or nervous. Some of my favorite images come from those little unplanned moments when people finally relax and just enjoy being together.

What’s one thing couples can expect when working with you?

Couples can expect me to bring a calm, steady presence while still sharing in all of the excitement of their day.. I know weddings can feel overwhelming, so I try to bring a steady, easygoing presence while still helping guide the day when needed. I want my couples to feel taken care of, comfortable, and like they can fully enjoy the moment without worrying about whether everything is being captured.

What are some of the most meaningful or memorable weddings you’ve captured, and what made them stand out?

The most meaningful weddings are the ones where you can really feel that the couple is there for each other. Weddings have become such a production in the best and sometimes most overwhelming way, and it is easy to get caught up in how everything looks. I completely understand that too — I am in my own engagement season, so I know how much thought goes into every detail and wanting the day to feel special. But the weddings that stay with me are the ones where, underneath all of the beautiful details, you can tell the couple is truly present with each other. They are there to marry their person. That is what makes a wedding memorable to me — the emotion, the people, and those little moments that remind everyone why they are there in the first place.

What advice would you give to couples when choosing the right wedding photographer?

Choose someone whose work you love, but also someone you genuinely feel comfortable with. Your photographer is with you during so many intimate parts of the day, so it is important that their personality feels like a good fit. Look for someone who makes you feel at ease, communicates well, and understands what matters most to you. The photos are so important, but the experience of taking them matters too.
